Hello fellow art lovers - just a quick note to let you know that I have set a date for the Indigo Dying Workshop and I have a space available. This will be held on Saturday Nov 7th and you can book in on the Workshops page of the Artworx Studio website.
Indigo dying is one of my favourite dying procedures. Indigo Shibori Dying technique is one of the oldest dying methods using natural indigo pigment on natural fibres - wool, silk, cotton and linen. In this workshop I teach how to wrap, bind, twist and tie your cloth to create a wide range of beautiful blue and white patterns which magically appear when unfolded.
There is also a few spots available for some of the Monday Twilight Ceramics class and one final space in the Beginners Painting Taster course which is run over 6 weeks.
I am so looking forward to all these classes and workshops - I feel like we have finally been released and are free to explore our creative sides again.
There is no doubt that 2020 has been a doozey! However it has also given all of us a moment to consider where we want to be in the future - or how we want to live our lives. The entire world is in a state of flux and for us here in our little corner of paradise - we want to preserve everything we hold dear - our precious freedom and our beautiful environment. If you are like me you'd probably be happy to see our borders closed but I know that's not fair on families and businesses. Let's just all hope that we can move through the next few months with caution and come out on the other side - AC - to a life After Covid.
Take care out there and feed your souls with something creative - just because you can.
