HELEN JESSUP

My work features subjects representing some of my favourite places in Tasmania. My focus is Wild Tasmania, featuring both landforms and the effects of our dynamic climate.

I generally paint in oils, using both stretched canvas and paper. I have been painting, sketching and creating intermittently throughout my life and have worked in a range of mediums. I am a recent escapee from the formal workplace where I worked as a social worker, my time is now devoted full-time to painting.

Since commencing painting I have participated annually in a number of exhibitions, both group and solo, where my work has sold. and have completed commissioned works including landscapes and portraits.

I am a member of Huon Art Exhibition Group showing at the Lovett Gallery, Cygnet, the Southern Beaches Regional Arts Network, and a member of 3 Peaks Gallery, Sorell where I currently have work showing.
